Leak Suggests vivo V80 Could Launch Next Month with a Massive Battery

New leaks suggest that vivo is preparing to unveil the vivo V80 series in mid-August, just a few months after the launch of the vivo V70 lineup. While the company has not officially confirmed the device, recent reports point to several notable upgrades that could make it a strong contender in the upper mid-range smartphone market.

1.5K Display with a 144Hz Refresh Rate

According to the leaked information, the vivo V80 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback.

Larger Battery with 90W Fast Charging

The leaks indicate that the smartphone will continue to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, the same chipset found in its predecessor. However, it is expected to receive a significant battery upgrade, featuring a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.

If accurate, this combination could provide longer battery life while minimizing charging time.

Triple 50MP Camera System

In terms of photography, the vivo V80 is rumored to include a triple-camera setup consisting of:

  • A 50MP primary camera.
  • A 50MP periscope telephoto camera for optical zoom.
  • An 8MP ultra-wide camera.

The phone is also expected to feature a 50MP front-facing camera, while retaining a camera system similar to that of the vivo V70.

Additional Premium Features

The leaked specifications also suggest that the device may include several premium features, such as:

  • A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
  • An aluminum alloy frame.
  • IP69 water and dust resistance.

These additions could improve both durability and the overall user experience.

Vexiora Analysis

If the leaks prove accurate, the vivo V80 appears to focus on refining the user experience rather than introducing dramatic hardware changes. While retaining the same processor as its predecessor, the device could offer meaningful improvements through a significantly larger battery, a faster display, and premium features such as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP69 durability.

However, all of these specifications are based on leaks and industry reports. Until vivo officially announces the smartphone, the rumored features should be considered preliminary and may change before the final product is unveiled.
