iPhone Ultra Battery Leak Reveals 5,000mAh Capacity

A new iPhone Ultra battery leak has revealed possible details about Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone. The information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who shared details about two new batteries believed to be designed for the device.

According to the leak, the two batteries received certification together, suggesting they could belong to a foldable smartphone. Foldable phones usually rely on two separate battery units because of their internal structure and flexible design.

The reported battery capacities are 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh, bringing the total rated capacity to 4,883mAh. This means the typical advertised capacity could reach around 5,000mAh, which would give the iPhone Ultra a larger battery compared with many current foldable smartphones.

The rumored capacity is similar to reports about the battery of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy Z Fold8, which is expected to compete with Apple’s upcoming foldable device, is rumored to feature a 4,800mAh battery.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone Ultra in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Recent reports indicate that the device remains on schedule and is not expected to face any launch delays.

Apple has not officially confirmed the battery specifications of the iPhone Ultra yet. Until the company makes an announcement, the leaked details should be considered unofficial.

Vexiora Analysis

The latest iPhone Ultra battery leak suggests that Apple is preparing to address one of the biggest challenges in foldable smartphones: battery life. Larger displays and more complex designs usually require higher power consumption, making battery capacity a critical factor for users.

A possible dual-battery system with a combined capacity of around 5,000mAh could help Apple compete more effectively against leading foldable devices from Samsung and other manufacturers. It also indicates that Apple may focus on delivering a balance between a slim foldable design and longer battery endurance.

If the leaked information proves accurate, battery performance could become one of the strongest selling points of the iPhone Ultra. However, the final impact will depend on Apple’s chip efficiency, software optimization, pricing, and the overall user experience when the device officially launches.
