Galaxy S26 Demand Continues to Surge Ahead of Launch

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series continues to record strong sales four months after its launch, with demand remaining high in South Korea and several global markets.

Following better-than-expected sales after the series debuted in March, Samsung increased production in April from 2.4 million to 3 million units. The production volume included 1.3 million Galaxy S26 units, 1.5 million Galaxy S26 Ultra units, and 200,000 Galaxy S26+ units.

According to a new report from ET News, Samsung has once again raised production of the Galaxy S26 lineup for July. The company is now expected to manufacture more than 1.5 million units, representing a 50% increase over its original production target of 1 million units.

The report attributes the continued demand to Samsung’s aggressive promotional campaigns and growing consumer concerns that the upcoming Galaxy S27 series could become significantly more expensive due to the ongoing memory chip supply situation.

One of the biggest sales drivers was Samsung’s Electronics Appreciation Festival, held in South Korea from June 8 to July 5. During the event, the company offered digital coupons with discounts of up to 20%, helping Galaxy S26 sales nearly triple throughout the promotional period.

Among the lineup, the Galaxy S26 Ultra remains the best-selling model. Strong demand has reportedly pushed delivery dates in South Korea into next month as Samsung works to meet customer orders.

Vexiora Analysis

The sustained demand for the Galaxy S26 series suggests that Samsung has successfully maintained consumer interest well beyond the initial launch period, an achievement that has become increasingly difficult in the highly competitive smartphone market. The company’s decision to repeatedly increase production indicates that sales have continued to exceed internal expectations.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to be the primary driver behind this momentum, reflecting growing consumer willingness to purchase premium flagship smartphones despite broader economic uncertainty. Samsung’s aggressive promotional campaigns have also played a significant role by making high-end devices more accessible without permanently lowering retail prices.

Another factor influencing demand is growing speculation that the Galaxy S27 series could launch at higher prices due to rising component costs, particularly in the memory market. If those concerns prove accurate, Samsung may continue benefiting from strong Galaxy S26 sales in the coming months as more consumers choose to upgrade before the next generation arrives.
